Moss Participated In World University Games

Xavier men's swimmer Armando Moss traveled to the World University Games in Kazan, Russia this summer and represented his native country of the Bahamas in three swimming events. Moss talks about that experience and gives Xavier fans a few ideas for what to do in the Bahamas.

2013-14: Competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle and 50 and 100 butterfly and also swam legs of the 200, 400 and 800 free relays and 200 medley relay ... Earned four medals at the BIG EAST Championships after sitting out last season due to injury ... Anchored the gold-medal team and broke school records in the 200 free relay (1:21.23) and tied the record in the 400 free relay (3:00.08) with Luke Johanns, Rodrigo Suriano and Chad Thompson ... Racked up a top-10 program time by winning bronze and posting a 20.89 in the 50 free ... Hauled in All-BIG EAST Team accolades ... Also broke the top-10 in the 100 fly (50.21).

Summer 2013: Participant in the 2013 World University Games

2012-13: Sat out the season due to injury.

2011-12: Competed in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly and also swam legs of the 200 and 400 free and 200 and 400 medley relay squads ... Won bronze as the anchor of the third-place 200 free and 400 free relay teams, swam anchor of the fifth-place finishing 200 medley relay team, touched sixth in the 50 free and finished third (11th overall) in the consolation finals in the 100 free at the 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship ... Also competed in the 100 fly at the championship ... Was part of the school-record setting 200 free relay (1:22.17) and 400 free (3:01.78) relay teams ... Set a program top-five time in the 50 free (20.90) and the 100 free (45.97) and a top-10 time in the 100 fly (51.79) ... Named to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll following the fall and spring semesters ... Earned the Dean's Award for maintaining a 3.5+ grade point average and a faculty nomination at the student-athletes' All-Honors Day.

Prior to Xavier: 100 Freestyle Bahama's National Champion... Competed in 2010 Youth Olympic Games... Recipient of Bahamas Academic Athletic Award.
