Bryan McEldowney joined the sports information department in August of 2012 as sports information assistant. He will serve as the primary contact for volleyball, men's and women's swimming and baseball.

McEldowney came to Xavier after spending the 2011-12 season at the University of Memphis as athletic communications assistant, where he was the primary contact for men's soccer and men's and women's tennis and the secondary contact for men's basketball and softball. He was the media relations coordinator for the 2012 Conference USA Women's Tennis Championships and co-coordinator of the 2012 men's and women's basketball conference championships.

Prior to his time at Memphis, McEldowney spent one year volunteering in the sports information department at Xavier. He previously spent seven years as a high school teacher and basketball coach, including one year as assistant men's basketball coach at Cincinnati Christian University.

McEldowney holds three degrees, a master's in sports administration (Xavier '10), a master's in education (Dayton '05) and a bachelor's in mechanical engineering (Dayton '02), and is a member of CoSIDA. He and his wife Anne reside in Cincinnati.
