CINCINNATI --- The All For One Club's first-ever Night of Excellence dinner and auction event tonight at the Kenwood Country Club was a big success in terms of crowd and the money raised. The featured speaker for the event was former Xavier All-American and two-time NBA All-Star  David West, who capped off the event. His impressive speech brought a standing ovation from the supporters in attendance.

The All For One Club has another big event on Monday, Aug. 20, at the Kenwood C.C. with the Ninth Annual HORAN All For One Golf Classic.

Proceeds from the dinner and golf outing support the All For One Club and Xavier student-athletes.

West, a two-time NBA All-Star who previously played for the New Orleans Hornets before joining the Pacers in 2011, is one of the most decorated players in Xavier basketball history. He is Xavier's second all-time leading scorer with 2,132 career points and third all-time leading rebounder with 1,308 career boards.

West was the first player to have his jersey number (30) retired while still playing and was the 2002-03 Associated Press, United States Basketball Writers Association and Basketball Times National Player of the Year--Xavier's first-ever National Player of the Year and consensus First Team All-American. He won a conference-record three-straight Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year awards and holds the school career records for blocked shots and double-doubles (68).
