All For One Club Presents
June 22, 2012
CINCINNATI - Make it a great All For One Club weekend by joining fans of Xavier Athletics at a special dinner event featuring former Xavier standout David West as the keynote speaker on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Kenwood Country Club. Then head for the links on Monday, Aug. 20, for the Ninth Annual HORAN All For One Golf Classic.
The Night of Excellence dinner event includes silent and live auctions, a plated dinner and dessert, and a cash bar, plus Indiana Pacers' forward David West speaking about his professional career since graduating from Xavier in 2003. Proceeds from the dinner support the All For One Club and Xavier student-athletes.
West, a two-time NBA All-Star who previously played for the New Orleans Hornets before joining the Pacers in 2011, is one of the most decorated players in Xavier basketball history. He is Xavier's second all-time leading scorer with 2,132 career points and third all-time leading rebounder with 1,308 career boards.
West was the first player to have his jersey number (30) retired while still playing and was the 2002-03 Associated Press, United States Basketball Writers Association and Basketball Times National Player of the Year--Xavier's first-ever National Player of the Year and consensus First Team All-American. He won a conference-record three-straight Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year awards and holds the school career records for blocked shots and double-doubles (68).
West's senior year stats were especially impressive as he led Xavier in scoring (20.1 ppg.), rebounding (11.8 rpg.), blocks (1.6 bpg.) and steals (1.3 spg.). He was second on the team in assists with 102. West scored a Cintas Center record 47 points to go with 18 rebounds in a win over Dayton his senior year.
Cost to attend the Night of Excellence is $100 per person. Tables for eight people are available. Cocktails and silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m. Dinner is at 7:30 p.m. A live auction will be held at 8:30 followed by West's appearance.
All For One members will have first priority and can currently register online beginning now until July 16. After that, registration will be open to season ticket holders, sponsors, general alumni, fans and friends of Xavier University.
