Xavier Student-Athletes Thank Donors in May
May 8, 2012
During the month of May, Xavier student-athletes showed their appreciation for Xavier alumni, family and friends who are donors to the athletic programs they compete in. Donors included All For One Club Members and donors who designate their support to specific teams and programs.
The Xavier Student-Athlete Thank-a-thon started with a phone call from Michael Zennedjian, a senior on the swim team and Katie Pleiman, a junior on the tennis team.
The phone call was followed up by thank you cards signed by various student-athletes. During the Student Athlete Academic Council (SAAC) end of the year party, several student-athletes personally signed thank you cards to more than 500 donors.
The Thank-a-thon wrapped up with a video from Jimmy Roebker, a sophomore on the tennis team and Anne Firgo, a junior on the swim team featured in the All For One Club May e-newsletter.
Through the generosity of the donors, Xavier is able to provide the academic support, scholarships, and operating resources necessary for over 250 student-athletes to compete for championships while receiving a Xavier education. To view the video, please click here.
"More than ever, it's impossible for us to accomplish the great things we all aspire to without support from our alumni and fans," said Associate Vice President and Athletic Director Mike Bobinski. "I would like to thank all of our donors for all that they do for Xavier University."
The mission of the All For One Club is to provide financial support to Xavier Athletics programs through private donations, and to assist Xavier Athletics in achieving its goals of student-athlete academic and athletic achievement. Join the All For One Club today!
