Xavier student-athletes are involved in numerous community service initiatives each year. Community service is an integral part of the Jesuit mission at Xavier, so every student-athlete is encouraged to be regularly involved. Xavier student-athletes spend time regularly with elementary students from the Academy of World Languages school through the Adopt-A-Class program. They act as mentors, tutors, and friends throughout the school year. Xavier student-athletes are also involved in other service programs to help organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, Down's Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, City Gospel Mission, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Rubber Duck Regatta. Each year new service initiatives are developed to help Xavier student-athletes give back within the greater Cincinnati community. Many of the service opportunities are student led.
