MARKETING & PROMOTIONS

Xavier Athletics Marketing is responsible for the marketing and promotion of the athletic department's 18 varsity sports. Their mission is to increase attendance and support for all athletic events by providing an entertaining atmosphere, while generating revenue opportunities and ticket sales.

Specifically, the athletics marketing staff is responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing plans for all sports, gameday promotions including contests and giveaways, tickets sales, advertising campaigns, event operations and game management, atmospheric elements at games, the Junior Musketeers Club, and printed promotional materials such as posters, schedule cards, and ticket brochures.

The most visible functions of the marketing office are the numerous promotions and fan interaction programs implemented throughout each sport season.

The marketing office works with the Sports Information Department, the Xavier Athletics Ticket Office, and Xavier Sports Properties to coordinate promotions and increase the appeal of Xavier Athletics. Marketing also works with the Xavier Office of Trademark Licensing. All applications for licensing and administration of official logos and marks are coordinated by the Licensing Department. Finally, marketing works with all Musketeer spirit groups including the X-treme Fans and the Xavier cheerleaders and mascots.

Internship Opportunities
Fall 2013 Internship Opportunity
Several undergraduate and graduate students serve part-time as interns in the marketing office.Each is assigned a specific sport for which they create and implement promotional plans.

These students are a very important part of the marketing office's workforce and make a great impact during their terms.The experience they gain has proven valuable as many have gone on to work in the collegiate and professional ranks including positions with Bradley University, the University of Cincinnati, University of Delaware, Marquette University, University of North Texas, Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame.
