Erin Kido is entering her sixth year at Xavier and her third as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). In her current position, Kido is primarily responsible for coordinating all facets of Xavier's comprehensive athletics compliance program for all coaches, staff, student-athletes and boosters. She is the athletics department's liaison to the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Residence Life on-campus and also serves as the sport administrator for the baseball and men's and women's cross country and track and field programs.

In addition to her Xavier commitments, Kido is also extensively involved in a number of areas related to intercollegiate athletics. In September 2012, Kido begins a four-year term as the Atlantic 10 Conference's representative on the NCAA Legislative Council, after recently completing her term on the NCAA Recruiting and Athletics Personnel Issues Cabinet. Kido also serves on the Board of Directors and Legislation and Governance Committee of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC). Additionally, she is entering her third year as the chair of the Atlantic 10 Conference Cross Country Committee and is a member of the Division I Advisory Group of the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Prior to arriving at Xavier, Kido served as the Director of Compliance for the University of Oklahoma Department of Athletics. While at Oklahoma, Kido played an integral role in building a strong, comprehensive compliance program that included broad-based rules education, as well as effective and efficient monitoring systems.

In addition to her compliance experience at OU, Kido was the Compliance Graduate Assistant at The Ohio State University. Kido joined the Ohio State staff after serving as the Championships and Marketing Assistant with the West Coast Conference and working as a student assistant in the UCLA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Kido received her bachelor's degree from UCLA in physiological science and earned her master's degree in sport and exercise management from Ohio State. She currently resides in Cincinnati with her husband, Jared Smith, and daughter.
