Mike Dunn, now in his 17th year at Xavier University, transitioned to his new role of Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts and Chief Revenue Officer for Xavier athletics on July 1, 2014. In this role, Mike is responsible for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift donors for Xavier athletics new strategic plan, Magis. Mike also oversees and manages the University's relationship with Xavier Sports Properties, a property of Learfield sports, which serves as the multimedia rights holder for Xavier athletics. Mike serves as the point person for XU Sells, a University group consisting of revenue generating departments on campus. Mike is also a member of athletics core senior staff and is in his 13th year as the men's and women's tennis teams sport administrator.
Prior to the new role, Mike served the University as the Director of Cintas Center for five years. The Cintas Center experienced four of its five best revenue years during Mike's tenure, while maintaining its reputation for excellence in service and presentation.
Before directing the Cintas Center, Mike was instrumental in the marketing department for Xavier athletics. Initially serving as the assistant director of marketing, Mike moved his way up to the director of marketing, assistant athletics director for marketing and finally to the associate athletics director for marketing.
The 42-year-old received his bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Dayton and a master's degree in physical education (athletics administration) from Ohio University. Mike and his wife Anne reside in Cincinnati with their son James, and daughters Katie and Emily.
