Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Cori Dayton is entering her fourth year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Xavier athletic department for the 2012-13 season. She primarily works with volleyball, women's soccer, men's & women's swimming, men's & women's cross country and track & field and men's & women's Golf.

In March of 2012, Dayton was a presenter at the Northeast Ohio Strength Clinic in Berea, Ohio.

Dayton spent the 2008-09 academic year working at High Point University as a graduate assistant for the strength and conditioning program while completing course work for a master's of science in sports studies. She assisted with weight room management, maintenance and organization and also created strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes.

Prior to her stint at High Point, Dayton was a two-sport student-athlete at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She was a scholarship volleyball player and earned several all-tournament team selections, was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team in 2006 and was twice named A-10 Player of the Week. Dayton also competed for three seasons with the track and field team.

Dayton is certified by CSCC, ACSM, USAW and the American Red Cross.
