CINCINNATI - This past Friday, a small group of Xavier student-athletes kicked off what they hope will be an ongoing partnership with Winton Hills Academy Elementary, a local school serving grades K-8. Members of the Xavier cross country and swim teams traveled to the school as part of a SAAC community outreach activity.

Clinton Womack and Becky Clark, on the cross country/track teams and Mark Febus, a men's swimmer, visited the school for a few hours as part of a Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) community outreach activity. Since it happened to be "Fun Friday" at the elementary school, the student-athletes spent much of the time playing board games and watching movies with the students.

They also spent some time talking with the students about their experiences as college athletes and what the students can do now to give themselves the opportunity to go to college and possibly play college athletics.

The visit was an extremely positive experience for all and one that hopefully will be repeated on a consistent basis in the future.
