CINCINNATI - Xavier University Athletic Director Dawn Rogers announced today that the University has promoted Tom Eiser to Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations and Greg Park to Associate Athletic Director for Business.

Tom Eiser is in his 20th year as the director of his alma mater's athletic publicity department. Eiser, who still retains the secondary title of Sports Information Director he has held since 1986, had been an Assistant Athletic Director since 1993.

The 43-year-old Cincinnati native has the primary role of directing the media relations, broadcast production, web site, publicity, publications, record-keeping and research for XU's 16 NCAA Division I sports. He is also involved in the coordination of game management and operations. In addition to his other responsibilities, Eiser is the administrator for the women's soccer program and this year took on the role as coordinator of the memorabilia displays and historical data for the P. Douglas O'Keefe Athletic Hall of Fame, which will be unveiled at Xavier University's Cintas Center on November 18 as part of XU's annual Athletic Hall of Fame induction weekend.

Eiser, a 1984 graduate of Xavier University with a bachelor's degree in English, came back to Xavier in 1986 after one year as Assistant SID at the University of Detroit.

Greg Park, who came to Xavier as its first-ever Athletic Business Manager in 1988, has been the Assistant Athletic Director for Business since 1993. Park, 57, has the authority and responsibility for the management of the athletic department's business and personnel policies. Specifically, Park manages 116 sport budgets. Other financial activities involve the department's cash flow management, departmental purchases, insurance policies, personnel supervision and special projects. Greg also serves as the department's liaison with the business community.

During 2000, Park assisted with the Cintas Center athletic office design, equipment and the personnel move to the new offices. In 1998 the athletic staff numbered 27. Currently there are 63 employees. Park came to Xavier in 1988 after spending 11 years as the Internal Auditor of the Cincinnati Reds.

Park received his master's of business administration degree in management from Bowling Green State University in 1972 and his bachelor's degree in business administration from Wittenberg University in 1970.
