The Xavier Nation won't have to wait until Skyline Chili Musketeer Madness to get the second annual `The X Shirt.' The X-treme Fans have announced that the 2007-08 edition of the shirt will be unveiled on Monday, August 27 during simultaneous events for students and members of the Xavier Nation.

The X-treme Fans will be unveiling the design to students during the annual pre-season volleyball pizza party held in front of Cintas Center. Alumni and supporters of Xavier Athletics will get a peek at the design during the Fourth Annual Horan Associates All For One Golf Classic. Shirts will also be available for purchase at the golf classic.

`The X Shirt' 2007-08 is the second in a line of collectible t-shirts that are designed by a team of campus representatives, including members of X-treme Fans, Student Alumni Association, Student Government Association and Student Activities Council. Proceeds from the sales for this year's shirt will benefit the Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless.

Last year's inaugural edition of `The X Shirt' raised over $6,500 for Matthew 25: Ministries.

Though the 2007-08 shirt has been complete since April, only the committee members know what the shirt will look like.

"The build-up and mystery behind the annual shirt is one of the things that makes it more than just a shirt," said Paul Moeller, Chair of the 2007-08 committee. "When the shirt is unveiled on the 27th, it is going to be worth the wait."
