July 24, 2014
CINCINNATI - Xavier University Athletics announced several staff changes including the hiring of three new account executives in support of its new in-house ticket sales initiative.
Joining the Ticket Sales department are Eric Thompson, Cliff Miller and Jon Schroeder. Thompson, from Cincinnati, has spent the past four years gaining experience with the department. A graduate of Texas A&M, Miller served recently with the All For One Fund. Schroeder, a 2013 Xavier graduate, returned to Cincinnati following an internship at TPG Sports Group in Charlotte. The new Ticket Sales department will focus on sales of premium and full-season tickets, mini-packs, and group tickets and hospitality for Xavier's five ticketed sport programs. The department will be led by Brett Sanders, Director for Ticketing and Premium Seating, and began its efforts last month. In addition, Jim Condo was hired as Ticket Manager and will oversee ticket operations. Condo joined Xavier after serving as Director for External Relations at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati.
Patrick Dillon was promoted to Assistant Director for Marketing in May after serving as Ticket Manager since his arrival in August from Georgetown University. Dillon will oversee marketing for women's basketball and handle the department's digital and e-marketing initiatives. Xavier also welcomes two additional new members to its external team as marketing coordinators. Hannah Martin joins Xavier after serving as Marketing Intern for the Fiesta Bowl. Martin is a 2013 graduate of Miami University and served as a sports marketing intern during her time with the Redhawks, serving as the lead intern for volleyball, women's basketball and baseball during the 2012-13 season. Cincinnati native Cathleen Vogelgesang will also join the Musketeers after working locally at the Western & Southern Open. Vogelgesang graduated from Stetson University in May and was a four-year letterwinner on the Women's Crew team and named to the 2014 MAAC Rowing All-Academic Team. During her time at Stetson she worked as a marketing intern for the Hatters and handled the kids club and student rewards program.
Brian Hicks, Xavier's Associate Athletic Director for External Relations, said "I'm excited to be able to assemble a great team of talented and dedicated individuals. They will be a great addition to the Xavier family and will help our department move forward in an exciting new direction."
