Xavier Athletics Shine in NCAA APR Rankings

Men's swimming, women's cross country, women's tennis, and women's indoor and outdoor track all scored perfect 1,000 APR ratings. Men's cross country (993), men's golf (990), men's tennis (990), men's indoor (990) and outdoor track (990), women's swimming (989), women's golf (986), women's soccer (985), baseball (978), and men's basketball (976) all scored above an APR of 975. Six Xavier teams scored in the 90-100th percentile, including baseball, men's swimming, men's indoor track, women's cross country, and women's indoor and outdoor track. Five programs scored in the 80-90th percentile: men's basketball, men's cross country, men's tennis, men's outdoor track, and women's tennis. Men's basketball scored the highest above the NCAA average of any team, scoring nearly 50 points higher than the average for all 333 NCAA basketball programs. Only 35 of the 333 Division I basketball programs scored better than Xavier, as the Musketeers performed better than programs like UCLA, Connecticut, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Gonzaga, Kansas, Michigan State, Stanford and Vanderbilt.
