Landyn's wish is to go to Disney World.
Feb. 5, 2014
CINCINNATI - Xavier's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has organized the third annual benefit for the Make-A-Wish® Foundation at the February 8th men's basketball game versus Providence. All proceeds from the benefit will help change the life of six-year-old Landyn and other children with life threatening medical conditions.
SAAC will be accepting donations at a table on the main concourse of the Cintas Center during the game. Fans can also purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a basket filled with exclusive fan gear donated from Xavier's athletic teams.
With a dazzling smile and a shining personality to match, it is hard to imagine Landyn is sick. He is a bright and friendly boy with a smile that will melt your heart. Landyn suffers from spina bifida chiari malformation, a developmental congenital disorder, something that tends to place him and his family in the hospital rather than enjoying the carefree life that every six-year-old should.
Landyn's wish is to go to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., where he will have the opportunity to meet many of the characters. The trip, which has many surprises planned for Landyn, will take place in September.
For Landyn and his family, Make-A-Wish has provided support when they needed it most. Help kids like Landyn live out their wishes by donating in one of the following ways:
- Online: Click here to be redirected to the online donation site.
- At the Game: There will be SAAC members visible at the game distributing information and collecting donations. Additionally, a table will be set-up on the concourse.
